the 2nd student council has a good taste in music! i recognised mogwai's 'we're no here', imogen's 'hide and seek' and explosions' 'your hand in mine'. can't say much for the oscar performances though.
i've felt guilty for a while now cuz the last time i've been to my primary school in cairnhill was in sec 1. so this afternoon i found myself wandering around the corridors of my past with ethan koh. the cracked and worn steps to the parade square, the stairwell murals, the library with the computers along the side which provided recess entertainment, the auditorium (!), the 6.9 classroom at the top floor of the block, the music room, the fish pond, the canteen. the nostalgia was incredible. all the names and memories flooding back.
a pity no one was around - the place felt almost ghostly. teacher's were out for their day's lunch. not that i would recognise many of the new faces anyway.
a pity that time will bring the acs (junior) campus to its knees at the end of this year.
on the bus there darren chew was playing 'home' on the altec lansing.
